Acupuncture

Acupuncture may be offered to you as part of your course of physiotherapy.  It is one of a number of different types of treatment that your physiotherapist can offer alongside others such as exercise, joint mobilisation and general rehabilitation to relieve pain and help you return to good health.

Scientific research has examined the effectiveness of acupuncture, and it is supported by an ever growing body of evidence for the treatment of back and neck problems, as well as other musculoskeletal injuries.

Acupuncture is complementary to physiotherapy.  It offers pain relief and relaxation, allowing the client to exercise and restore normal function.
